Needs Theory
The Need Theory has many children and has been adapted by many managers seeking to motivate their employees and branch off into different details according to each workplace. The basics of the theory involve Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and McClelland's theory of needs. It is primarily the inputs and outcomes within a business.
Equity Theory
This theory involves the balance that should be present in every workplace of inputs to outcomes of staff. It can be difficult to achieve this balance as a staff member may have a different idea of what is equitable for their work ethic especially when comparing with co-workers around them.
